Presentation

Hi everyone! My name is Elendili : friend of the elves in Elvish.

It’s been a year now since I first entered the fantastic world of the elves: those cute little beings who live in the fields, swim into the crystal clear water or hide under the flowers that grow into your garden.

Keep your eyes, your mind and your heart wide open.

Let your childish mind play and you’ll be able to see them all around you.

All the elves, mermaids or other figurines that will appear on this page are all handmade which makes every creation a unique piece of work.

I usually make them with a special kind of modelling clay.

I use some sheep wool from Tibet to make their hair.

The eyes are handpainted.

They are between 12 and 15 cm high.

If you like my work, please feel free to leave a comment.

If you’d like to adopt any of these little creatures to decorate your house, don’t hesitate to contact me at elendiliscreations@hotmail.fr.

April Shower

Aah, what a time of the year! We never know what the weather is going to be like. Better get out with your umbrella!  It’s raining… Then it’s not raining anymore! But this makes the snails happy.

Do you remember when you were playing with Plasticine when you were a little child?
I kinda made the same to shape my blades for this one.
This picture says it all.
Just a little patience and… All is done.

For the next elf, I’m going to take some pictures, step by step to show you the way I work. I think I’m going to do this every time but sometimes I forget. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Mermaid.

This time I chose to make a mermaid.
But beware of her voice, she could cast a spell on you faster than you could ever imagine.

Learning how to fly.

I’ve begun a new little doll. This one will be a baby elf who is about to fly for the first time. She’s still a bit hesitating and tests the strength of her wings.
As promised, I took some pictures of the different steps of the making.
(I didn’t forget this time, I’m getting good!)
First of all: the face, the essential part that is going to give some personality to the doll.
Then the body, the feet and the hands.

When the different parts of the body are made up, I put the whole doll in the oven to make the clay a bit softer.
But it’s far from being finished.
Now it’s time for the hardest part: the sanding. It takes a lot of time but it has to be done.
There will be some corrections to do later and then, oven again.
After that, she’ll be all bright and fresh and I’ll be able to do what I prefer the most: the painting.

New born

First of all, I want to say thank you to the very first visitors of my blog.

We say that boys get born in cabbage and girls in… Roses!
I always tend to make grown-up elves. That’s why I wanted to make something different this time and give birth to a lovely little girl.
This is how she looks like.
She’s 7 cm high and weights only a few grams.
I haven’t given her a name yet, I’ll let her future parents choose.

The Prisoner (Sold!)

Attracted by the light like a butterfly, she cries for her freedom.
But you got the key and only you can set her free.
